Looks like its poem time in barkuronline.com.  Antony Prakash D'Souza, Kudru, Barkur, a Software Engineer at London, U.K. has sent this beautiful poem "BARAKOORA GEETHE", he wrote about Barkur. Its based on the Rashtrakavi Kuvempu's "Naada Geethe". We are happy and proud to publish this poem for our visitors.

I sprinkled some lemon juice on grapes, to get "sour grapes." To the cunning foxes, the stars are sour too. From the inbox.

I had a quick glance at famous temple, surely a beautifully done job. Snaps also good. James Fernandes’ song also fresh and enjoyable. We needs better updates like POM, HOF AC, TC to mention a few.

Dear Jemiaba

Oh ! what a great way of getting back to our childhood days with this beautiful song "Johnny Johnny Moga" ! I not only remembered the entire song but also sang along these beautiful lines. One more song I liked so much during those days, even to this day its my favorite, is "Rosalynne Mhoza Mogachem" and if you have full lyrics of it please Baba get it for us. Our dear neighbor Mr John D'Mello used to sing this song very often and entertain us. Once again, I thank you for your sincere contribution to Barkur Online in so many ways. God bless you and your lovely family. Love,

Did you know that if you hang garlic garlands in your homes and in every room, the snakes do not enter your homes? Garlic is a snake repellent.

Of course, no reader of this site is worried or reacts to the number 666 or the date 6-6-06. No one reacts to anything here anyway! Why not read as 999, (if you read standing on your head,) and be happy!

I truly laud and applaud for the tremendous memory power my dear brother Jemiaba has shown through his write-up on the Late Mr Yajnanarayana Rao. The short but informative article has brought back many memories of my days in Barkur and to remember the stalwarts like Mr Yajnanarayana Rao and many many others who have  demonstrated their achievements through total dedication, sheer simplicity and true honesty not only to the Barkurians but also to all Barkur.com readers and the world too. Barkurians are definitely proud to boast of such great men. I thank Jemiaba for this wonderful story and hope he will continue to remember many of the other GREATS OF BARKUR and will shed little light on them. God bless Jemiaba in his achievements.

It does't help to be overly generous: A beggar saw a banker coming out of his office and said, "Could you give me a Rupee, sir, for a cup of coffee?" (This happened long ago!) The banker felt sorry for this man who looked bedragled and distraught. He said, "Here is a 10 Rupee note. Take it and have ten cups of coffee." The next day the beggar was there again, and as the banker came out, the beggar punched him. "Hey, man, what are you doing? Are you out of your mind?" "You and your lousy ten cups of coffee. They kept me awake the whole night!"

I have been fishing since long online with one line. Today I caught a large fish. Gives a good fight! Want to catch a few more. I won't tell what kind of bait I use.
