This is to inform that our dearest Aunt Irene Crasto (My Father Harry Picardo's Sister, Simon & Severine Picardo's Daughter, Lawrence , Harry & Marie Picardo’s Sister) passed away yesterday May 30^th  2003 in Mumbai. The funeral will leave her residence at Borivili (Mumbai). Shall keep everyone updated about it. The Crasto''s telephone numbers are 009122-56905453. For a loving person that she was and for the selfless and ever welcoming nature of her, for the warmth that she spread among us let us spend two minutes offering a Small Prayer for her soul. In these days of hotmail dis-order, new feed back for comments, is a welcome step. I am surprised other than, usual Mr. James Fernandes, with his chosen photographs of St Bartholomew, and information, rest are resting on this issue. Still time is there, hope BARKURIANS react to this emotive subject soon.

It is an impressive celebrations in Nagermutt. Congratulations, keep it up!! Really, this feedback form, looks attractive and specially in these days of Internet inefficiency and jumbling of messages!!

Few days ago, I was on a visit to native place Barkur. Happy to have a meeting with Parish Priest, and few responsible persons. Lot of subjects, developmental activities and difficulties and challenges, discussed.

In Mumbai, even in Mangalore, I have seen on line flash news, hard copies arranged so nicely, by many Church porticos.

I understand, most of the reports, messages, news and views flashed here, are originated and sent from Barkur, but why there is no awareness. Is English language a handicap?

Someone informed, all up-dates are exhibited on a special notice board, to add to my disgruntlement, shocked to see nothing over there, which really matter!!

One of the positive sign noticed over Barkur, is the parish book published and understand it is a regular affair, people behind this work deserve praises.

Last Sunday, Youth Souvenir was released, I didn’t get a personal copy, but borrowed one from our neighbour, gurkar, with sheer anxiety – a marvelous job compared to few such books brought out by any contemporaries or much better than our own SPA Mumbai, let me be honest.

A BIG THANK YOU, WE SAY DEAR ERIC SOANS, A MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

During these days, where every one scared to attempt to bring out a Souvenir, you happily shouldered this heavy responsibility, the ICYM entrusted to you, with great confidence, to complete the assignment with near perfection.

Now, you made all of us, members / ex-members and all involved in this ICYM, to feel proud & happy, by your masterly work, by knitting our emotions, in an attractive Book format.
