KAVADY ASHOK SHETTY, PB NO 1586 DUBAI U.A.E. 25/07/03.

Suggestions on Pedruchi Chavi - more pages, more information, more about a ward at a time, involvement of more people and talents is a welcome move, if implimented. But let us concentrate on SPA SPECIAL at the moment.

F.X. D'Souza, Mumbai, 25/07/03.

Few days back, I gone through the ICYM 25 Years Magazine, jointly edited by Mr Archibald Furtado and Mr Eric Soans. It is my habit to have a look at various such books brought out by various Institutions and Social Organisations to mark special ocasions. The reason why I wish to go in records is 'THE BOOK IS A BEAUTIFUL DOCUMENT TO RESERVED BY EVERY BARKURIAN AND ESPECIALLY YOUTH' The quality, compilation, few articles and the information on different holy vocations is simply great and seen only in urban parishes. Thanks both of you and all associated with this nice work.

Vincent D'Souza, 25/07/2003.

Dear Friends, The suggestions by Mr Furtado, to focus on One vado one time, once in two years, in a rotation, both to highlight the vado people and its achievements, is worthy to consider. Further, the editing of the relevent issue, if people ready to shoulder, also can be considered. Most importantly, financial burden as Fr Sylvestor was discussing with me on my visit to him, this will be the best and the honourable solution.. What my fellow parish people have to say......? With regards,

Barkurgar, barkurgar@hotmail.com. 25/07/03

It is through the contact with Fr. Tony Andrade (whom I know from the seminary days) that I learnt of this barkur.com Congratulations and keep up the good work. I have my best wishes

Fr. Dr. Francis D'Souza ,24/07/2003.

PEDRUCHI CHAVI, ONCE AGAIN…….!

We are in receipt of St. Peter’s Feast Special issue of Parish Bulletin Pedruchi Chavi. Thank you very much Mr. Eric Soans and all Members of your editorial Team. Needless to state, it posses all the salient qualities you developed over the years, to make it attractive and informative!

It is great news to understand that St.Peter’s Association, Mumbai, is all set to bring out a special issue of PC in December 2003. Wish you all the best and promise our co-operation and contribution whatever way possible, as we too once actively associated with this group.

Similarly, we propose to the Editorial Board, Eight wards of the Parish can come forward, to sponsor and focus their respective ward once in Two years, so that few more pages may be added and financial burden too can be borne at ease with parishner's staying outside Barkur and abroad.

On our part, if Ward Committee agrees, we the Nagermutt-gar, will be happy to shoulder the responsibility of first issue of next year, as we have a young, energetic and talented Gurkar in the form of Mr. Marshal Andrade, and AYA to lead us.

P. Archibald Furtado, Muscat, 24/07/2003.

The article Upanayana has come nicely and effort of the writer must be appreciated. The photos reveal the identity of the writer since I am very close to that guy from our own Santhegudde Cricketer. Again thanks to Kishoo for providing this great site taking virtually to Barkur and refreshing the mind. Thanks

I do admire our freelance G.S. Lewis. He politely admonishes Barkur.com saying respective persons are not contributing to their allotted columns/topic in a timely manner. However, in the next breath he is requesting/hoping to open another Q.A. section! I feel, “Why create more babies, when I can’t afford to feed, clothe and educate the ones I have?” Anyone can ask questions in this site, however, the answers they get may not be pleasant, could be pungent or funny, or down right foolish or straightforward or bordering to rudeness! Anyone can ask questions in this Sandesh column, and unless, there is any new-found manpower, I feel a Q.A section is not necessary at present. This is my personal opinion, please.

Dear Robin and Anitha wish all success best of life.Have wonderful married life. Yours loving

Bhavaji, Bai and Chintu. 19/07/2003

Subject: TODAY We convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married, have a baby, then another. Then we are frustrated that the kids aren't old enough and we'll be more content when they are. After that, we're frustrated that we have teenagers to deal with. We will certainly be happy when they are out of our cages. We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when our spouse gets his or her act together, when we get a nicer car, or we will be able to go on a nice vacation, or when we retire. The truth is there's no better time to be happy than right now. If not now, when? Your life will always be filled with challenges. It's best to admit this to yourself and decide to be happy anyway. Happiness is the way. So, treasure every moment that you have and treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time with...and remember that time waits for no one. So, stop waiting.... until your car, home, or credit cards are paid off until you get a new car or home until your kids leave the house until you go back to school until you finish school until you lose 10 lbs. until you gain 10 lbs. until you get married until you get a divorce until you have kids until you retire until summer until spring until winter until fall until you die There is no better time then right now to be happy. Happiness is a journey, not a destination. You live it. So-work like you don't need money, Love like you've never been hurt, and dance like no one is watching. Sing like everyone else is deaf! If you want to brighten someone's day, pass this on to someone special, I just did. This does not exempt you from basic responsibilities for your actions!

At the funeral of a very rich man,  the relatives were asking, How much did he leave? The pastor said, He hasn’t taken anything with him!

Dear Barkurians and Friends,

It is quite some time now, I miss you people,  rather found no time to write a word or two to you. Since then many changes taken place and I'm happy about it. New segments added and few more may be in the offing like 'Questions and Answers'. This site is not like a' lake water'  but a 'lively stream', full of freshness. Though it focus primarily on Barkur, other nearby towns too get mileage through it.

By nature, I'm a critic people say, but when it comes to you, and your site, find it difficult to pin-point anyone!! But add and expect, all new and on-going section manager's to keep consistency... once the host entrusted with a page to you, it is you who are duty bound to send in articles regularly.

Bye at the moment, all the best,

G.S.Lewis, Kallianpur, 18/07/2003.
