Shri Sudhakar Shetty, a beloved son of Barkur and a towering figure of generosity, industry, and compassion, left us this morning, leaving behind a void that words cannot fill.
A self-made man in the truest sense, he rose from humble beginnings in Barkur to build a distinguished career in the chemical industry, eventually founding Vasudha Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. and several other successful enterprises. Yet, his greatness was never measured by his business acumen alone — it was defined by the warmth of his heart and the breadth of his giving.
He was the driving force and principal donor behind the Rukmini Shedthi Memorial National Upper Primary School and the Rukmini Shedthi Memorial National 1st Grade Government College, Barkur — institutions that stand as a lasting testament to his commitment to education and the upliftment of his beloved hometown.
He is survived by his beloved wife Mrs. Sucheta Shetty, one son, and two daughters.
Funeral arrangements are yet to be announced. Further details will be shared shortly.
