The Annual General Body Meeting of all members of the Barkur Vyavasaya Seva Sahakari Sangha (Barkur Agricultural Service Co-operative Society) for the year 2025-26 was held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 10:30 am, at the Souharda Community Hall, St. Peter's Church, Barkur.
The proceedings began with a prayer led by Sri Raghavendra Rao Maski Bailu of Barkur, and the meeting was presided over by the Society's President, Sri B. Shantharama Shetty.
On this occasion, Sri B. Shantharama Shetty, who was honoured with the Sahakara Ratna Award for 2025, was felicitated and congratulated by the gathering.
Scholarships were also awarded to students from within the Society's service area who scored more than 80 percent marks in this year's SSLC and Second PUC examinations, in recognition of their academic achievement.
Society President Sri B. Shantharama Shetty delivered the welcome address, while the Society's Chief Executive Officer, Sri Ganesh, presented the annual report and proposed the vote of thanks.
The meeting was attended by prominent members of the Society, including Sri Devadas Hoskere, Sri Koosa L. Kundar Hoskere, and Sri Srinivasa Udupa Kudli, along with 13 members of the Society's Board of Directors and other members of the Society.
