Sanil has added another glittering achievement to her rapidly growing list of accolades, winning the Gold Medal in the women's javelin throw at the All India Inter Railway Athletics Championship held in Kolkata, West Bengal.
The win marks yet another milestone in what has been a stellar and consistent run of performances for the young athlete, who continues to bring laurels to her hometown with every outing on the national circuit. Special credit for this remarkable achievement goes to her coach, Kashinath Naik, whose training and mentorship have been instrumental in shaping Karishma's rise through the ranks of Indian athletics.

Her journey to national prominence began in earnest in August 2024, when she won gold at the 89th All India Inter Railway Athletics Championship in Rae Bareli, signalling her arrival as one of the leading names in railway sports. She built on that success at the National Games 2025 in Uttarakhand, where a throw of 55.55 metres earned her a silver medal and cemented her place among the country's elite javelin throwers.
Karishma also made her mark internationally, representing India at the South Asian Senior Athletic Championship in Ranchi in October 2025, where she claimed silver — her first podium finish on an international stage.
