The St. Peter Parish in Barkur  celebrated Easter with grand enthusiasm and meaningful traditions. Father Ivan D'Souza (Professor, Jeppu Seminary) and Parish Priest Father Ronald Miranda led the celebratory Mass. The Triduum ceremonies were hosted by the Nagarmut ward's Mrs. Sarita and Mr. Desmond Lewis and their family.

The Easter celebration brought together the entire parish community in a display of faith and joy. The liturgical services were conducted with great reverence, reflecting the deep spiritual significance of the resurrection of Christ. The church was beautifully decorated with flowers and lights, creating a festive atmosphere befitting the importance of this holiest day in the Christian calendar.

Parishioners from all walks of life participated in the celebrations, many having prepared for Easter through the penitential season of Lent. The Easter vigil service the previous night marked the culmination of Holy Week observances, which included Maundy Thursday and Good Friday ceremonies.

The parish organizing committee worked diligently to ensure all arrangements were in place for the festivities. After the main Mass, families gathered for traditional Easter meals and community celebrations, strengthening the bonds of fellowship that are central to parish life.

The hosting of the Triduum by the Lewis family from the Nagarmut ward continues the parish tradition of different families taking responsibility for key celebrations throughout the liturgical year, fostering a sense of shared ownership and community involvement in the parish's spiritual life.
