First Video Song of Sri Battevinayaka Deity from Barakuru Released

On the auspicious day of Sankashta Hara Chaturthi, a significant event took place in the presence of Sri Battevinayaka, a revered deity in Barkur. The occasion marked the release of the first-ever video song dedicated to this divine entity, titled "Prathama Poojyane" (The First Worshipful One).


The release ceremony was held as part of a special gathering at the Sri Battevinayaka temple. In a momentous gesture, entrepreneur Mr. Srinivas Shettigar officially launched the video by clicking the 'Publish' button, making it instantly available on YouTube for devotees and music enthusiasts alike.

The event was graced by several distinguished guests. Mr. B Shantaram Shetty, President of the Barkur Gram Panchayat, inaugurated the function by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Other notable attendees included Mr. Varadaraj Adiga, the alternate priest of the temple; Mr. Ganesh Shetty B, President of the Barkur Rotary Club; and Mr. B Sudhakar Rao from Barkur.

The creative forces behind the song were also present. Mr. Rajesh Shanbhog from Barkur, who composed the music and lent his voice to "Prathama Poojyane," was in attendance. Mrs. Tulasi Bhat (also known as Sindhu Bhargavi) from Barkur, who penned the lyrics, was also honored at the event.

Additional dignitaries present included Mr. Subramanya Poojari, President of the Swagat Multi-purpose Cooperative Society of Barkur; Mr. Satish S. Amin, President of the Barkur Mogaveera Joint Assembly; Mr. Sandeep Amin from Kooradi, who heads the Kooradi Ganesha Festival Committee; Mrs. Gauri V. Poojari, the matron of Seva Sangama Sri Narayana Guru Children's Center; and Mrs. Poornima S Poojari, President of the Barkur Rotary Anns Club. Mrs. Janvavi Poojari and several other prominent citizens and devotees were also in attendance.

Speaking at the event, Mr. B Shantaram Shetty, Mr. Srinivas Shettigar, and Mr. Ganesh Shetty B elaborated on the immense spiritual significance of Sri Battevinayaka, known as the remover of obstacles. They praised the divine power of the deity and extended their best wishes to Rajesh Shanbhog and his team for their musical endeavor.

This release marks a significant milestone in the cultural and spiritual life of Barkur, blending devotion with modern media to spread the glory of Sri Battevinayaka to a wider audience. The video song is expected to enhance the spiritual connection between the deity and his devotees, while also showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the region.
