BARKUR - The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Barkur unit has received the Regional Youth Convention (RYC) Cross as part of the ongoing diocesan pilgrimage in preparation for the upcoming regional convention.

The symbolic cross, which serves as a focal point for spiritual preparation and unity among Catholic youth, was welcomed by ICYM Barkur members with reverence and enthusiasm. The cross represents the collective devotion of young Catholics across the diocese as they prepare for the Regional Youth Convention.

During its stay in Barkur, the cross will be the centerpiece of special prayer services, reflection sessions, and community gatherings organized by the local ICYM unit. Young parishioners are expected to participate in various devotional activities centered around the cross before it continues its pilgrimage to the next parish.

The RYC Cross pilgrimage is a cherished tradition within the Indian Catholic Youth Movement, designed to build spiritual momentum and foster a sense of unity among participating dioceses ahead of the convention. Each parish that receives the cross is encouraged to organize meaningful activities that strengthen faith and community bonds among the youth.

The Regional Youth Convention is expected to bring together hundreds of young Catholics for spiritual formation, community service initiatives, and fellowship activities aimed at strengthening their faith and commitment to service.
