Muddu Krishna Competition 2025 at SVVN Heradi

On the eve of Sri Krishna Janmashtami, SVVN National English Medium High School, Heradi, was filled with divine colours and festive joy as the Muddu Krishna Competition was organised on Tuesday, 9th September 2025.

The campus bloomed with the laughter of tiny tots from Play School, LKG and UKG, dressed as little Balakrishnas, accompanied by their equally enthusiastic parents. The programme began at 10.15 am, with a soulful prayer by Class IV students viz Akshaj, Parinya, Sanidhya, Srinivas and Samhitha, that set a devotional tone to the day.

The traditional lamp was ceremoniously lit by Prof. Archibald Furtado, retired Professor and Administrative Coordinator of the National Group of Educational Institutions, under the management of Barkur Educational Society (BES). In her warm words of welcome, Mrs. Sujatha Rai, Section Head of Kindergarten, expressed her joy at witnessing such vibrant participation.

In her inspiring keynote address, Principal Mrs. Likitha Kotary highlighted the importance of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, stating that such platforms not only nurture confidence in children but also help them connect with our rich heritage and cultural traditions.

In his inaugural address, Prof. Furtado congratulated the little participants, parents, and teachers for their collective efforts, adding, “When a child takes the stage with joy, a bright future takes root. SVVN is committed to nurturing the holistic growth of every student – in academics, sports, and cultural fields.”

The learned panel of judges – Mr. Seetharam Shashtri, Mrs. Vidhushi Anjanadevi and Ms. Pooja (dance choreographer) – were introduced, honoured, and appreciated for their presence.

In his presidential address, Mr. Rajarama Shetty, Correspondent of SVVN, painted a beautiful picture by saying that the children in their divine attire truly brought Dwaraka alive on campus. He thanked the Principal, staff, and parents for making the event a grand success and urged parents to spread the good name of the school in society.

The formal stage programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms Kusuma, paving the way for the most awaited moment as Emcee Mrs Renuka and Chandrakala program in-charges - Ms Sujatha L Rai, Ms Shubha Rao, Ms Chandrakala  Ms Kusuma showcased neatly dressed divine innocents – the presentation by the little Krishnas. The competition was conducted in three categories, and the winners were awarded trophies, certificates, and gifts, while every participant received a memento, making the day memorable for all.


As the saying goes, “A child dressed as Krishna is not just an image, but a reminder that innocence is divine.” Indeed, the Muddu Krishna Competition 2025 will remain etched in the memory of SVVN Heradi as a day of devotion, colour, and joy.

School made arrangements for festal lunch, especially sweets sponsored by SVVN old student Mr Bharath Rao for all participants and parents and guests on this occasion.
