Barkur, April 8, 2026: The inaugural ceremony of the Samskaara Sudha Shivira 2026, a seven-day summer camp organised by Bala Bharati Shringeri under the auspices of the Sri Sri Jagadguru Shankaracharya Mahasamsthana, Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetha, Shringeri, was held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Om Sri Chaulikeri, Barkur.





The camp has been organised with the noble aim of nurturing religious values, ethical conduct, and cultural refinement (samskaara) in children alongside modern education.
The inaugural lamp-lighting ceremony was performed by Vidwan Mallikarjuna of Aham Brahmasmi Pratishtana, Shringeri, and Yaji H. Niranjan Bhat, Dharmadarshi of Sri Jnana Shakti Subrahmanya Devasthana, Nagavraja Kshetra, Pavanje.




The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including Sri Suggi Sudhakar Shetty, President of the Renovation Committee of Sri Panchalingeshwara Temple, Barkur; Sri Umesh Naik, Convener of Tulja Bhavani Marathi Sangha, Udupi; young entrepreneurs Sri Prithvi Raj Shetty, Billadi, and Sri Rakshit Pujari, Barkur.


Smt. Savita Ermal, the Chief Organiser and Coordinator of the camp, along with Sri Kumar Chaulikere and the camp participants, were also present on the occasion.
The seven-day camp will conclude with a valedictory ceremony on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM.
