Hanehalli, Barkur:

September is always a season of festivals, and the festive spirit is especially vibrant in the historic temple town of Barkur.

The afternoon on Friday 4th turned truly special for the children of National Primary School, Hanehalli, when Headmaster Mr. Udaya Shetty, along with the teachers, took the little ones to the nearby Venu Gopala Krishna Temple, Moodukere, to celebrate Krishna Janmashtami in a spiritually enriching atmosphere.

The historic temple wore a grand and beautiful festive look. The temple authorities extended a warm welcome to the young visitors and arranged special prayers and Puja for their well-being. The children were delighted to receive sweets and delicious Payasam as Prasada after the Puja.

The visit offered the children not merely a celebration, but also a beautiful opportunity to experience the traditions, devotion and cultural heritage associated with Lord Krishna and Janmashtami.

It was indeed a  memorable and meaningful afternoon for the little children, made possible through the thoughtful initiative of the Headmaster, teachers and the gracious temple authorities.
