The grand Teppotsava (Float Festival) of the revered Sri Kula Mahastri Amma at Benne Kudru temple was celebrated with great splendor and devotion.





The magnificent procession around the island featured renowned bhajan groups from across the district performing devotional dances, accompanied by the thunderous sounds of traditional drums and musical instruments. The celebration included an impressive display of fireworks, captivating puppet performances, and spectacular martial arts demonstrations.
Thousands of devotees gathered to participate in the Holeyaana (River procession), which traversed a 5-kilometer route through the River around Benne Kudru Island. The procession made its way in a circumambulatory path around the island in specially decorated boats, culminating at the sacred presence of Sri Kula Mahastri Amma. There, the palanquin was carried around the temple sanctum nine times, symbolizing deep reverence and devotion.





The Teppotsava concluded with the Maha Mangalarathi (grand ceremonial waving of lights), marking the successful completion of this auspicious third day of the annual festival. The event witnessed an overwhelming participation of devotees who came together in faith and celebration to honor the divine mother.
