Dear Barkuronline readers:

Sometime ago I had mentioned in these columns, that my sister Helen was undergoing treatment for cancer related issues, and I had asked for your prayers. Folks, your prayers are heard. Presently, Sr. Consilia Helen is FREE of cancer. Her health in general is quite improved, so much so she traveled to Barkur to attend our brother Romalth's funeral services, lately. Indeed, "The power of Prayer", Once again, I do thank you all, on behalf of my sister, and my brothers, for your generous prayers. "Gratitude is still around." Thanks once again.

James Fernandes, USA, 14/3/2005.

A Very Happy Birthday & With Best Wishes (10.3.05)

The Menezes, The Oliveras & The Martis Family 10.3.05

Congratulations Uncle Maxim,

on being elected to Barkur Panchayat by a record margin. Surely, we expect progress at our natives. Pick up roads on top priority. Connect Kachhur to Church. Have atleast some public toilets near Bus stand. Good luck and God bless you.

Vincent D'Souza., 12/03/2004

I feel it is appropriate to paste a photograph of newly elected Office bearers of Catholic Sabha with a brief introduction. Of course, new panchyat members snaps too desirable. People some times recognise the faces than names. Why no new POM for March. Any special agenda from the newly elected members for the growth of temple town Barkur? I fail to understand why Mr. Hegde's men, didn’t got chance at Barkur.

Congress still made its presence felt by winning few seats here, as per your reports. Just winning not the end, workout some plans for the development of the town, specially BRIDGE over Seetanadi.

Mr. Ronald and Rev. Fr. Tony Andrade (04/03/2005)

We the St. Thomas The Apostle parish community wish our Parish Priest Fr. Tony Andrade and his twin brother Rony Andrade a very Happy Birthday and many happy returns of the day.

May God continue to bless our pastor with good health and joy in his heart to serve us and the people of this archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. Also may God bless his brother Rony and his beloved family with joy and happiness always.

Also wishes from  Andrade Family, Relatives and Friends. Special wishes from Laila D'Almeida and Pushpa Latha (Staff of Allina Lab and Gift Shop) and Barkur Online Team 02/03/2005

Pedruchi Chavi, the news letter of your parish always comes out attractive and informative. The very idea of one special group contributing towards its cost, in a big way worthy of a praise. The innovators of this idea, whoever it is deserve accolades. On my part introduced this idea to many and few accepted it. There are couple of Barkurians in Mangalore, who too keen to introduce themselves in Chavi, please give them a chance with others. By the way who is your next POM for March..?

MMAlvares - alvaresmm@hotmail.com ,02/03/2005

Is there any possibility to publish those articles referred in Archie's corner latest update. I am very unfortunate not to fetch a copy of this Mithr special. Congratulations, Kishoo Barkur and Karaval Milan. Once again, friends, the article is incomplete with-out the knowledge of the full text of those write ups. It is wonderful to watch regular new reading material in barkuronline.

It is a worthy way of remembering a teacher for all that he has done to us. I do endorse the statement there are many many such rich souls in our Barkur, but to be introduced to the masses and specially present generation. Nevertheless barkuronline deserve kudos for picking up this forgotten job.

Barkuronline Valentine Cards, re-kindled interest in the web-site again. They are too good. An effort to have Konkani Messages are praiseworthy. Of course, after a break, have gone thru. quite many updates which are vivid and relaxing. Personality, that too Woman, is a encouraging one to others to enter politics. Hope good panchayat members get elected this time every where.

Dr Bairy is a great man of his time, really God only knows how many such great men hidden in yesterdays town Barkur? Your work in this direction really appreciable, people now talk and polish living one, (not those passed away..) for some profit / gains. pl. updates these things often.

Why no Questions and Answers.. no response or column discontinued. I wanted to read about SMS College, Brahmavar, silver Jubilee – nothing appeared?
