In recent few months, everywhere, there was so much of genuine display of love, affection, respect, congratulations, prayers, and all that’s best for Most Rev. Henry D’Souza, the newly appointed Bishop of the Diocese of Bellary, India. He was ordained a Bishop on June 12, 2008. I really do not know when he moved to Bellary from Delhi, however, I know this much as facts, very little it may be, that’s what he accomplished in a very short time, as of today, August 26, 2008, in a mere two months of time indeed, besides many other accomplishments:

1, He toured the entire diocese, already. (Was he flying without airstrips?)
2. He visited all the Parishes, (~50), Institutions, and Convents in Bellary.
3. He personally met most of the school students, already. (I do envy!)
4. He has already established and is collecting funds for the Diocesan Medical fund, and various other organizations, solely to help the less fortunate ones.
5. He has already established rapport with the rest of the community, in the State, and in other Dioceses, and in the rest of the world, just to uplift his people under his care.

His heart melts when he meets some/most of his poor people who belong to the socially most backward sections. But he has the ability to notice that these people are working hard with high spirits, and they are no whiners! I personally do not care for the diamond studded silverware, but I certainly wish proper meals, good health and peace of mind, for every human being, animal, or plants!
Folks: There is something unique about this Fr. Henry. Something tells me to tell you all, that, this Fr. Henry from the East could be a tool in the hands of God, to restore the weakening Roman Catholic Church in the West. It does not matter whether he will become a Pope or not emanating out of India, but I can assure you, Fr. Henry D’Souza will accomplish much more than any Pope could accomplish, to quench the thirst and hunger, to help the sick, and bring peace and harmony. Believe me, as Fr. Henry believes, as well, “Nothing is impossible with God!”
