Hi Kishore, I am extremely happy, through barkur.com we are successful in uniting the barkurians spread all over the world. Through this message I request the Bombay  people to send more news about the activities of St. Peter's Association, (Barkur) Mumbai  which is doing commendable work. The association is donating uniform to the students  of Mary knoll Higher Primary School, Barkur (students of 3rd std. to 7th std.) on 15th August 2002. It is expected that their Vice President Mr. Richard Carvalho will  attend the function on behalf of the association. While thanking them we wish them  every success in the days to come.

Kishoo,

Vigar uloita in silence? I saw the empty pages. I understand. What....any alternative?. I would be happy for your suggesstions. It may be superior of the convent or any other person for....on behalf of parish priest.....? It may be sounding odd. Yet, the message is message. It may be from others too. I know for sure, Pope has no time to write message. President or prime minister of India has no time too. It is the P.A. Or appointed person does on his behalf and flags his name. Could this be possible in this page?.

Secondly, Why don't we start a spiritual page or a page for reflection which would serve as a  spiritual food for the people around the world specially who can't reach the alter on week or leisure time when they are off shore?. It may contain some spiritual thought like

1. Daily and Sunday readings. 2. On feasts and on the life of saint(s) for the day.( a book copy of which is available) 3. some atma darshan reflections.

Thanks for placing my article collected from a reputed historian of South Kanara. Thanks also for keeping it as a debatable thought. Thanks Kishoo. I find less words to convey the message of appreciation. But am proud of you and Archi and all behind the curtain in the work of web site. Keep Barkur on the top of the net world.

God Bless you.

Yours in amchem barkur.

Nice to see such rich articles from Fr. Henry, Archie, and GS Lewis as well, depicting the past, (yet visible) glory of our beloved Barkur.  Believe me, these articles will end up as some chapters in some future books, besides being helpful to some school projects.

Mr. Lewis also posed a question "....whether all the catholics were of Goan origin?...."  Any thoughts? I have no clue!

I knew one guy who was fond of 'shikari' used to tell me "We are all travellers." His reply to my question 'why?',

was "One cannot eat meat on Fridays. But travellers are allowed to eat meat. Therefore, I go hunting on Fridays!"

Folks:  Please visit this site: http://www.drbarboza.com It's a pleasure to watch his bharatanatyam prayer dances or performances.  Thank you.

Dear barkur.com friends,

It is really a good news that  after a long time some clergyman focusing on an issue, raised by G.S. Lewis, Kallianpur, few months back!!
One have to read twin articles in this site, the former written by Archibald furtado, titled food for thought, and the latter, by Lewis titled (?) on the same subject.

Since this is a astonishing news, of great importance, request elders of
Barkur and neighboring parishes, and religious people as well to enlighten us at the earliest...!

Meanwhile I too join my voice with James, Alvares and others, to discuss the issues raised over here...!
