We felt totally shell-shocked upon hearing the sad & untimely demise of Peter Dias.  He is known to us as Peety baba.  We sorely miss his smiling and serene personality. We warmly extend our heartfelt

Me too fond of fish, especially river caught, that too from Sastan Market, here also, Kharvi hooked fresh Kane, whenever at Barkur. Now, while reading Dr.Fernandes, in the messages, his recommendations, research work, feel proud of my likings with a preference to meat. Of course Vegetables a must!!

Only thing pinches me, the sky-rocketing prices, some fisherwomen quoting, and in a bargain, another Gulfy or foreigner, picking the same, while men like me, just watching and wondering -  sometimes cursing over selves! The situation in Mangalore and even at Udupi market also similar!

Holy Week, just at the doorstep, it is a timely memory lane extract, with stories of involvement of all faith children of writer's time with innocent minds!!

Coming to Archie's Corner, last week, article, and followed opinions, I feel, at Barkur, You are blessed with a talented Priest Fr.Sylvester and equally active assistant Br.Vijay, both are doing a wonderful service, and people like me, feel envy to see their support to Youth, which is rare scene, in many of the Churches, tell me which parish having 100+ ICYM members and who had Silver Jubilee like Barkur had...? Because I attended one day function personally and heard of other activities too.

Of course, I do admit, Archie must have written and raised few questions on a wider background..? But the way others opined, the platform of this web-site, too small to bear and digest such serious, delicate and emotive subjects and doubt whether it reaches to right ears and eyes of so called authorities?

In conclusion, what caught my eyes, a drop of ink, make Millions think, all the best friends!

Dear Host Kishoo Barkur,

Normally we write to most of the Mangalorean Catholic Community news sites, whenever required, it is specially you, stand out among all, to pay immediate attention and waste no time to update and suggestions to implement.

Keeping this quality of yours in my mind, let me suggest you, to open a segment for HEALTH AND FOOD and articles already appeared over here like TOMATO, BANANA AND FISH can very well parked here.
Otherwise the messages column disappears, the subject too get erased from one's mind. Your famous pages like Personality of the Month, Archie's Corner, Interviews and to that extent Memory Lane need frequent up-dates.Kannada Section, too a welcome move.
Wish you all the best, and your Team-mates,

G.S.Lewis, Kallianpur. 12/04/ 2003.
