On September 29, 2024, Barkur parish youth participated in the Udupi Diocese Youth Convention, 'Yuva Dabazo 2024', held at St. Francis Xavier Church, Udyavar. The event saw participation from 53 parishes across the diocese.
Highlights:-
16 youth members from Barkur attended, with 7 competing in various events.
- Competitions included Creative Walk, Futuristic Art, Flower Carpet, and Brain Wave.

Barkur's team secured 3rd place in the Brain Wave competition.
The afternoon featured a Battle of the Bands event. The convention provided an opportunity for Barkur's youth to showcase their talents and interact with peers from across the diocese, fostering a sense of community and shared faith.
