Barkur College in News
Various extra curricular activities were held recently at Smt. Rukmini Shedthi
Memorial National First Grade College and Post Graduate Research Center Barkur.
Symposium on Personality Development, Student Information, Inauguration of the
new NSS Unit, Inauguration of the Students Council and the Talents Day were
celebrated.
Dr.P.V. Bhandary , Director, Dr. PV Baliga memorial Hospital , Udupi, Prof.
Rajashekhar Hebbar C, Principal, Rtn. ASN Hebbar, were the resource person for
the symposium on Personality Development.
Dr.Gananath Ekkar, Co-ordinating Officer, NSS, Mangalore University, inaugurated
the new NSS unit of the college. Prof. A.C.Thunga, Principal UPMC, Kunjibettu
and B.N. Shankar Poojari, Ex.President, Udupi Jilla Panchayath were the chief
guests for the programme.
Students Council for the academic year 2009-10 was inaugurated by Kota
Shrinivasa Poojari, MLC, in the presence of the chief guest B.Bhujanga Shetty,
Ex.President, Udupi Jilla Panchayath.
Talents Day was inuagureated by B.Sudhakar Shetty, MD of Vasudha Chemicals,
Mumbai, Rukmini Residency, Udupi and Patron of the college. S.C.S. Karanth ,
Enterpreneur, Bellari, Madhukar Shetty, Entrepreneur and Treasurer of the
Karnataka hoteliers association, and Setharama Hebbar, Hebbar Consultency, were
the chief guests.
All the students enthusiastically participated in these programmes and showcased
their talents.
