Why
Laloo, our Railway Minister, have nothing for Konkan Railway

The
doubts of Mr Abhijit are well answered by Mr James and more precisely
by Mr Bhaskar. I understand this is a privately managed site for
public, a sort of good social work, by few public minded people by
spending from their pocket. The site in its approach and coverage
promoted good ideals in every human being, hitherto got neglected at
large at our natives. To start something and to continue with it is a
big responsibility and friends like Abhijeeth most welcome to be in
the mainstream, and support the Site Team.

It
is a welcome news that Pedruchi Chavi released on 4th
and now it is a patient wait till that land in our hands. The
presence of Barkurians in large number in places like
Kuwait and UAE surely support and happy to bring out one issue, the
way mumbai-kar's and now muscat-gar's done it. Friends take lead, we
will be happy to participate!

Dear Mr. Abhijeeth: What
is wrong with Christian values? These are universal values preached in
every religion, practiced or not. Christ preached that the greatest
commandment is to "Love your neighbor...", so did, Buddha, Gandhi, or
our mothers!
He did not say to love your Christian neighbor alone, nor did He say
to hate others belonging to other religions! Barkur.com has strived
its best to embrace every Barkurian irrespective of cast, creed,
status, or bank balance. If I wish "Merry Christmas", it does not mean
I am imposing christianity on every reader. If I read "Happy Divali",
actually, I feel good because, someone is wishing "prosperity", even
to me! But I do not consider someone is asking me to become a Hindu!

This is in reference to the
comment made by Abhijith. For his reference Barkur.com web site
started by Mr.Kishore Gonsalves prominent youth leader among Barkur
Christian.
Although he took the
initiate, risk, challenge and hard work to promote Barurian scattered
all around the world to come together to share their experience and
receive the news message from hometown Barkur. If he thinks that this
site is promoting only Christian value that is his stupidity and
ignorance. Readers may notice that in the past this site publishing
non- Christian religious activities without any barriers despite their
contribution is nil and the readers are minimum. Wherever he is living
at least he should be happy that he is getting Barkur news available
free of cost.

Dear Mr Abhijit,
There is absolutely no room for any confusion
nor the site is promoting any religious values on its visitors.
Whenever I sent one sentence or some broken English words to the Host,
he has published it. Moreover, it is left to us, the Hindus or any
other religion followers to send in articles and then let us see if
they are not published. I am pretty confident, and I too studied in
Christian Educational Institutions, but remained strong in my faith
and learned to respect other faith too.
Let me request Mr Abhijit or others who are
blessed with writing talents, to write to this Site and let us
introduce ourselves and the great legacies of Hindu Culture. Sorry, I
am not that learned, but can contribute a sentence or two either to
support or oppose whatever I like or dislike, in these web pages.
With Best Wishes,
Bhaskar L.Poojary. 03/07/2004
Friends, carry on your work without any fear or
favour.All the best.

We too join you to welcome Fr. Aranha to Barkur
Parish. He is a very active and popular Priest. CYM Unit of Barkur a
familiar name around this place, now got special recognition to be 2nd
Best in the D.K, Udupi and Kasargod Districts. All members and leaders
deserve praise for this landmark honour. Meanwhile I fail to
understand Mr Abhijit's point - how this site thrust Christian values
on others? Each web-site is free to toe its own path and it is not
compulsory to read or subscribe to the opinions aired over there. No
one insist me or ask anyone or compel someone to go through it - I
like it, so I read it, that's all. If at all I don't like or
appreciate something, I'll waste no time to bring to Host's
notice, like this one small note......!

I' am really confused, weather its website for Barkur, or to promote
Christian values among Barkurians, why so much emphasize on
Christianity there, It looks kind of, people are forcing their values
on others

Last Sunday we got the news that
Oman
based Barkurian's bringing out Pedruchichavi special. It is a good
development. Try to include a directory of Barkurian's and their
details, as We know there are good number of gavnkars in the city and
interiors. Oman is a vast country. Why there is no mention of this in
the site? Wish you all a Happy Feast of Saints Peter and Paul, have a
great feast. I feel the questions raised by Philip and few answers
qualify for further discussion.... With regards,
MM Alvares,
alvaresmm@hotmail.com 26/06/2006
Why now updates are fewer compared to earlier days.Only solace is
answers to Philip, but it too failed to arouse discussion specially, I
was looking forward for a House site proposal in Barkur, (not Heradi
or Railway station,) are there any good sites available, pl flash news
in barkuronline.. Is new priest taking any interest in such and other
matters like Jubillee of Church?
