Sr.Mabel Goveas
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sr. Mabel Goveas, Sisters of Charity, who departed this life on August 2, 2025. Born on March 13, 1945, Sr. Mabel lived a life of devotion and service until her peaceful transition. She served at IHMS Convent and Maryknoll High School Barkur, and was the animator of ICYM Barkur. She was instrumental in forming YCS and YSM units in Maryknoll High School and was a beloved teacher to her students.
A funeral service will be held on August 3, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. at St. Joseph's Parish, Jeppu, Mangalore. We fondly remember Sr. Mabel and pray she enjoys eternal bliss.
