Alliance Clubs Launch Forest Festival at Barkur National ITI College

Barkur - Alliance Club Kota-Brahmavar and Alliance Club Barkur jointly organized a Forest Festival (Vanamahotsava) program at Barkur National ITI College, distributing over 200 saplings to students as part of an environmental conservation initiative.

Alliance District Advisor Shridhar Shenava inaugurated the program, emphasizing the urgent need for increased tree plantation to combat global warming. He urged students to grow trees in their home environments, stating that planting more trees has become essential in addressing current environmental challenges.

The event was attended by notable dignitaries including Chief Guest Sunil Kumar Shetty (First Deputy District Governor), Sudhakar Hegde (Second Deputy District Governor), college Principal Venkatesh Kramadhari, and Director Ramachandra Kamath.

From Alliance Club Kota-Brahmavar, President Karunakar Shetty delivered the welcome address, while Secretary Dr. Mohan Reddy and Treasurer Ratnakar Shetty participated. Alliance Club Barkur was represented by President Sudarshan Shetty, who gave the vote of thanks, along with Secretary Praveen Shetty and Treasurer Sadashiv Shetty.

District Secretary Dr. Jagadish Holla coordinated the program proceedings. This collaborative initiative demonstrates community organizations' commitment to environmental conservation through student engagement and grassroots action.
