St. Peter's Church, Barkur, witnessed a memorable celebration of Altar Servers' Day on October 27, 2024. The solemn occasion was highlighted by the active participation of altar servers who expertly led the liturgical proceedings of the Holy Mass, demonstrating their dedication to serving at the altar.
During the Mass, three young aspirants were formally inducted into the altar servers' ministry. Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Ronald Miranda officiated the induction ceremony, bestowing special blessings upon the new servers and presenting them with their surplices, symbolizing their commitment to serving the church.
Following the Mass, a fellowship gathering was held in the church mini hall. The event was attended by distinguished guests including Parish Priest Fr. Ronald Miranda, Parish Pastoral Council Vice President Mr. Joseph Fernandes, Convent Superior Sr. Jasmitha Crasta, Seminary and Religious Education Commission Director Mr. Patrick D'Silva, and other members.
The parish priest and honuiuiored guests commended the altar servers for their dedicated service to the parish and extended their best wishes for their continued ministry.
