The Barkur Billava Seva Sangha (Regd.), Shivagiri Kshetra, Barkur, organized a free notebook distribution program on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Sri Gurudeva Bhavana, Shivagiri Kshetra. The event was held under the chairmanship of the association's president, Sri Sarvodama Poojary Bennekudru, with generous support from donors.
This year, notebooks were distributed to 350 students ranging from Class 5 through final year degree level.
The program commenced with a prayer led by Jahnavi V. Poojary, Hema Jagannath Poojary, and Sujata K. Poojary. Donor Sri Somappa A. Sanil formally inaugurated the event, while President Sri Sarvottama Poojary Bennekudru extended a warm welcome to all gathered.
Honorary Advisor Sri Ganesh Poojary delivered the introductory address. The program was graced by several distinguished guests, including Honorary Advisors Sri B.N. Jagannath Poojary and Sri Manjappa Poojary (businessman, Barkur), Women's Wing President Smt. Ratna Poojary, Sri Jayarama Poojary Bandimatha, Smt. Jayanthi S. (Vice President, Swagath Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society, Barkur), Sri Bhaskar Poojary Garadi Mane (Vice President), Sri Jayananda Poojary Heradi (Honorary Advisor), Sri Annappa Poojary Kavadi (Vice President, Billava Seva Sangha, Barkur), and Sri Ganesh Poojary of Railway Hanehalli Mudutota, Barkur.
Also present were Smt. Hema Jagannath Poojary, Smt. Vatsala R. Poojary, Smt. Shakuntala Manjappa Poojary, along with other dignitaries, members of the Women's Wing, all office-bearers of the Billava Seva Sangha, parents, and students.
Smt. Mamata Ganesh Poojary read out the notebook distribution list. Dinesh Poojary compered the event, Rama Poojary delivered the vote of thanks, and Treasurer Ganesh Poojary Bennekudru assisted in coordinating the proceedings.
