Barkur Church Singers Team Runners Up at 11th Konkani Singing Competition Pangla

Singers team of St Peter's Church Barkur, led by Eric Soans Barkur, secured overall 'Runners Up' trophy at Diocese Level 11th Konkani Singing Competition Pangla, organised by ICYM Pangla.

The competition was conducted having two categories called Under 15 and Above 15. Both categories had sub categories called Male and Female solo, Duet and Group singing. Barkur team participated in all the categories. The team consisted of 20 members of Junior and Senior singers. Popular singing teams of 18 different parishes of Udupi Diocese participated in the competition. 

Barkur Singing Team won prizes in the following categories which lead them to secure Overall Runners Up in the competition.

First place in Male Solo Singing        : Eric Soans Barkur.

First Place in Female Solo Singing  : Michelle Andrade.

Third Place in Duet Singing                : Eric Soans Barkur and Sasha Rodrigues.
