Kamala Shettigar, a resident of Horalijeddu Kachooru, Barkur, is undergoing treatment for a serious illness at Adarsha Hospital. She has two sons — one of whom is intellectually disabled, while the other, Vishwanath (also known by another name, Ganesh), is well known to everyone in the area for his work as an electric wiring technician. Until now, it was through his earnings that the family's household expenses were met, along with caring for his mother and his differently-abled brother.
For about a month now, the mother has been suffering from a rare illness involving an intestinal infection and thickening of the blood. Since there is no one else at home to look after things, caring for his mother at the hospital and his intellectually disabled brother at home has fallen entirely on Vishwanath. As a result, he has been unable to go to work, and the family now finds itself in severe financial distress — unable to continue the mother's treatment or even pay the hospital bill to get her discharged.
Vishwanath is appealing to kind-hearted donors for financial assistance. We request everyone to please come forward and help this family, so that his mother can return home safely.
