The prestigious multi-day event, organized as part of Yuva Vahini's 25th anniversary celebrations, featured a series of competitions aimed at discovering and celebrating talent within the Billava community across Udupi district. The main events were held at the Shri Narayana Guru Sabha Bhavan in Bannanje.
Musical Excellence Claims Top Prize
In the "Yuva Sangama" competition held on February 28, 2026, the Shri Narayana Guru Mahila Bhajana Mandali (Women's Devotional Singing Group) from Billava Seva Sangha (Registered), Shivagiri Kshetra, Barkur, delivered a captivating performance that earned them first place. The winning team was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 20,000 along with a trophy, recognizing their outstanding devotional singing prowess.
Artistic Triumph in Rangoli Competition
The celebrations continued on Sunday, March 1, 2026, with various competitive events showcasing diverse talents from across the district. In the rangoli competition, Barkur's renowned rangoli artist Smt. Vishala Mahesh Poojari demonstrated her exceptional artistry to claim the first prize, adding another feather to Barkur's cap.
