GOA, April 3, 2025 - In a remarkable display of skill and determination, Rian Angelo Arouza, a talented table tennis player from Nagarmutt, Barkur, has etched his name among the elite by helping secure the Runner-up position at the prestigious SPREE'25 National Level Table Tennis Open Tournament. The high-profile competition was hosted at the state-of-the-art facilities of BITS Pilani's Goa campus from March 28 to March 31, 2025.

Representing St. Joseph Engineering College, Mangalore, Arouza demonstrated exceptional prowess as a doubles specialist, contributing significantly to his team's impressive performance against formidable opponents from across the nation.

"The competition was intense, with some of India's finest table tennis talent participating," said a tournament organizer. "Reaching the finals is no small achievement, and the St. Joseph Engineering College team, with Rian as a key player, showed extraordinary composure and skill throughout the tournament."

The SPREE'25 tournament, recognized as one of India's highest-graded table tennis competitions, attracted top-tier talent from prestigious institutions nationwide. Rian, the son of Clara and Richard Arouza, has been developing his table tennis skills since his early years. His performance at SPREE'25 marks a significant milestone in his sporting career, signaling his potential to compete at even higher levels in the future.
