A major blood donation camp was organized today at the auditorium of Srimati Rukmini Shedthi Memorial National Government First Grade College and Post Graduate Study Centre, Barkur, in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society Kundapur, Rotary Club Barkur, Alliance Club Barkur, IQAC Youth Red Cross, NCC, NSS Rovers and Rangers units.
The camp was inaugurated by Sri Jayakara Shetty, President of the Red Cross and Blood Bank Unit, Kundapur. The event was presided over by Prof. Sri Bhaskar Shetty Salvadi, Principal of the college.
Chief guests included Srimati Kishori Shetty, President of Rotary Club Barkur; Sri Sudarshan Shetty Molahalli, President of Alliance Club Barkur; and Srimati Shobha R, Director of IQAC. Also present were members of the College Development Committee, teaching and non-teaching staff, students, and members of the alumni association.
Srimati Shailaja welcomed the gathering, while Sri Satish proposed the vote of thanks. Sri Veeresh Mathapati compered the program.
The blood donation camp successfully collected 60 units of blood.
