On Saturday, November 18, 2023, a dental camp providing free dental treatment was organized at the Government High School, Kavadi. This initiative was a collaborative effort between the Rotary Club Barkur and the Interact Club of Government High School, Kavadi, along with the support of the Interact Club and the Primary Health Center, Saibarakatte and Manipal College of Dental Sciences.
The dental camp was inaugurated by the esteemed help of the Honorable Rotary District Governor Alwyn Quadros, who lit the ceremonial lamp, expressing his admiration for the initiative. Key dignitaries present at the event included Rtn. B. M. Bhat, the President of the Rotary Club Barkur, and Kumari Prajna, the President of the Interact Club. Vandanā the Community Health Officer, was also present to grace the occasion.
The chief guest, Mrs. Jayashree Madam, Headmistress of Government High School, Kavadi, extended a warm welcome to all attendees. Mr. K. Babu Nayak, the Rotary Program Director, expressed his gratitude. The program was skillfully directed by Rtn. B. Sudhakar Rao, Vice President of Rotary Barkur.
Approximately, more than 110 beneficiaries availed themselves of the free dental treatment offered at the camp. This noble initiative aimed at providing essential dental care to the community was a collaborative effort, showcasing the spirit of service and cooperation within the region.
