ICYM Golden Jubilee Committee Holds Shramadan at St. Peter's Church, Barkur

Barkur: Following directions from the recent meeting of the ICYM (Indian Catholic Youth Movement) Golden Jubilee Committee, a shramadan, a voluntary community labour drive, was held today at St. Peter's Church, Barkur. Volunteers cleaned and tidied the church stage and the grounds around it.

A large number of members turned out and gave their time and effort to the drive. The programme was led by Mr. John Picardo and Mr. Edwin Picardo, who guided the volunteers and coordinated the work.

The parish priest, Rev. Fr. Ronald Miranda, was present throughout and gave the organisers and participants his full support, encouraging the volunteers and showing the parish's backing for the Golden Jubilee programmes.

The drive reflected the unity and spirit of service among the youth members as the movement marks fifty years.
