The much-awaited Summer Camp “Chinnara Chittara – 2026”, a pet programme of the Headmaster Mr. Udaya Shetty, was inaugurated with great enthusiasm and festive spirit on 27th March 2026 at 10:15 AM in the school premises. This camp, now a cherished annual feature of the institution, continues to inspire young minds year after year.





The programme commenced with a soulful prayer hymn rendered by the students, setting a serene and auspicious tone for the occasion. This was followed by a warm and gracious welcome by the Headmaster, who greeted the dignitaries and guests with fresh roses as a mark of respect and gratitude.
Mrs. Veena Shetty, an innovative and award-winning teacher, delivered an inspiring keynote address, beautifully outlining the purpose and structure of the three-day camp. She emphasized how such initiatives go beyond textbooks to nurture creativity, confidence, and holistic development among students.




The camp was formally inaugurated by Mr. Srinivasa Shettigar, Correspondent of the School, by unveiling an attractive and colourful placard. Presiding over the function, he appreciated the school’s initiative and highlighted the importance of such camps in shaping well-rounded individuals.
In his address, Dr. Subramanya, Founder of Paridhana Charitable Seva Trust, described the camp as a joyful learning journey. He expressed his vision of providing children with opportunities to discover hidden talents and acquire essential life skills in a vibrant and engaging environment.
The distinguished Guests of Honour, including Mr. Rajgopal Nambiar (Correspondent, NPU College), Rotarian Mrs. Kishori S. Shetty, CRP Barkur Cluster Ns Lalitha Achar and Retired Headmaster Mr. Udaya Shetty, extended their heartfelt wishes for the success of the camp and assured their continued support to the institution.
All the sponsors of the event were remembered and thanked profusely by the School.




The three-day camp has been thoughtfully designed with the support of experienced resource persons, who were honoured during the programme.
The camp features a wide array of activities such as fine arts, singing, elocution, drawing, rangoli, along with engaging sessions in acting and group games. These activities aim to foster creativity, teamwork, and self-expression among students.
The Administrative Coordinator of the National Group of Educational Institutions, Mr. Archibald Furtado, lauded the remarkable involvement of alumni and well-wishers in the school’s progress. He expressed sincere gratitude to Old Students, Rotary Barkur, Kishoo Enterprises, (Daijiworld Udupi) Sankamma Thayi Credit Society, Paridhana Seva Trust, and many others for their generous support on behalf of the BES Management.





On this occasion, several distinguished personalities including Mr. Sudhakar Shetty (Myrmady), Mr. Sundaram Shetty (Sankamma Thayi Credit Society), and Prof. Venkatesh Kramadhari (Principal, NITI) were recognised for their valuable contributions and presence. They were honoured with roses, traditional shawls and mementos as a mark of respect.
The school also took pride in honouring its generous Correspondent Mr. Srinivasa Shettigar with dignity and gratitude by draping traditional shawl for his unwavering support.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Suma, who expressed heartfelt appreciation to all dignitaries, teachers, resource persons, parents and organisers for making the event a grand success. The programme was smoothly compeered by Ms Shylaja teacher, adding grace and continuity to the event.
The inauguration marked a vibrant and promising beginning to three days of joyful, creative, and enriching experiences for the students.
