New President Deekshit Takes Charge in Presence of Rotary Club Dignitaries
BARKUR - The inauguration ceremony of the Interact Club at Government High School, Kavadi was held in the school's assembly hall with great enthusiasm and community participation.
The ceremony was presided over by Rtn. Kishori S. Shetty, President of Barkur Rotary Club, who performed the installation of the new Interact Club President Deekshit by adorning him with the presidential collar, officially inducting him into office.
The event witnessed the presence of several distinguished guests including Zonal Coordinator Sitaram S., Immediate Past President Ganesh Shetty, Interact Chairman Rtn. B. Ratnakar Shetty, and Director Rtn. Jayashree Shetty. School Principal Mrs. Jayashree, Teachers' Interact Coordinator Mrs. Nagaveni, newly installed President Deekshit, Secretary and Miss Meghana were also present at the ceremony.
Zonal Coordinator Sitaram S. delivered the introductory remarks and conducted an engaging quiz program for the students. Interact Chairman B. Ratnakar Shetty and Immediate Past President Ganesh Shetty shared their thoughts and experiences with the gathering.
In recognition of their valuable contributions and successful programs during their respective tenures, the outgoing presidents Sitaram S. (2023-24) and Ganesh Shetty (2024-25) were honored by the school administration for their dedicated service to the Interact Club.
The ceremony began with a warm welcome address by School Principal Mrs. Jayashree, while Teachers' Interact Coordinator Mrs. Nagaveni proposed the vote of thanks. The program was conducted with prayer and concluded on a positive note.
The Interact Club, which operates under the guidance of Rotary International, aims to develop leadership skills among high school students while encouraging community service and international understanding. The new leadership is expected to continue the club's tradition of meaningful community engagement and student development programs.
