SVVN English Medium School, Heradi
An installation ceremony for the newly elected office-bearers of the Interact Club was held under the joint auspices of Rotary Club Barkur and SVVN English Medium School, Heradi.


Rtn. H. Ajith Kumar Shetty presided over the programme. Rtn. Gangadhar Joshi presented the collar badge of office to the incoming team.
Seated on the dais were installing officer Rtn. Raviraj Kidiyoor (Interact Zone Coordinator), District Representative Rtn. Seetharam S., Interact Club Chairman Rtn. Kushala Poojary, School Headmistress Likhitha Kothari, Interact Teachers' Coordinator Sujata Rai, Rotary Secretary Rtn. B. Ganesh Achar, newly elected Interact Club President Shreya M. and Secretary Shivani Acharya, along with immediate past president Manaswi and past secretary Jnanesh.


The programme opened with a prayer sung by the students, followed by a welcome address from Sujata Rai. Rtn. Kushala Poojary spoke on the background and purpose of Rotary and Interact.
Rtn. Raviraj Kidiyoor formally installed the new President Shreya and Secretary Shivani Acharya into office, and explained the aims and activities of Rotary and Interact in detail. District Representative Seetharam S. shared further information about the Interact movement.
Headmistress Likhitha Shettigar expressed her appreciation for the work of Rotary and Interact. Rtn. B. Ratnakar Shetty conducted an entertaining quiz session for the students.
Rtn. H. Ajith Kumar Shetty delivered the presidential address, while Secretary Rtn. B. Ganesh Achar proposed the vote of thanks. Rtn. Ganesh Poojary sponsored the refreshments served at the event.
Also present were Rtn. Bhaskar Poojary, Rtn. R. Ratnakar Shetty, Rtn. Ashok Kulal, Rtn. Naveen Chandra Shetty, Rtn. B. Ratnakar Shetty, Rtn. Gangadhar Joshi, and Ann Shilpa Ganesh.
National High School, Barkur
The Interact Club installation ceremony, jointly organised by Rotary Club Barkur and the Interact Club of National High School, Barkur, was held in a highly meaningful and festive atmosphere at the school auditorium on 15 July 2026.


Designed to nurture leadership qualities, a spirit of service, social commitment, and responsible character among students, the programme won wide appreciation from all who attended.
The event was presided over by Rotary Club Barkur President Rtn. N. Ajith Kumar Shetty. In his presidential address, he remarked that student life is the golden period for building strong values, and that the Interact Club offers an excellent platform for students' all-round personal development. "Today's students are tomorrow's leaders of society. Therefore, qualities of service, discipline, honesty, and leadership must be cultivated right from this stage," he advised.


Installing officer Rtn. P.H.P. Ratnakar Shetty formally handed over charge to the new office-bearers and administered the oath of office, reminding students that a position of responsibility carries greater duty than honour, and urging them to carry out their roles with loyalty, integrity, and a spirit of service.
Chief guest and District Representative Rtn. Seetharam S. delivered an inspiring address to the students on the mission of Rotary, the objectives of the Interact Club, and community-oriented activities, calling on them to earn the trust of society through service and grow into good citizens.


Club Interact Chairman Rtn. Kushal Poojary spoke about the background of the Rotary organisation and highlighted how the Interact Club serves as an important platform for developing leadership, organisational skills, self-confidence, and teamwork among students. He encouraged the students to take active part in every service activity organised by the school.
Membership Chairman Rtn. Harish Kundar introduced the Rotary family's tradition of service and urged students to adopt the motto "Service Above Self" as a guiding principle in life, noting that combining education with humane values is the true measure of success.
The school's Headmistress, Smt. Hemavathi P.S., graced the occasion with her presence and, on behalf of the institution, welcomed all the gathered guests.
During the ceremony, charge was formally handed over and the oath of office administered to the new Interact Club office-bearers: Sakshitha of Class 10 as the new President, Tanushka of Class 10 as Secretary, along with the Treasurer and office-bearers of various committees. The new team, led by President Sakshitha, pledged to carry the club's activities forward successfully with honesty, discipline, and a spirit of service. Interact Teachers' Coordinator Prabhakar G.P. was present on the dais and extended his good wishes to the new team. Class 10 students Poornima and Aisiri compered the installation programme.
The brief but well-organised installation ceremony was attended by Rotary Club office-bearers and members, the school's teaching staff, students, and invited dignitaries. The event concluded successfully in an atmosphere of discipline, festivity, and the spirit of service, with a formal vote of thanks followed by the national anthem.
Having sown the seed of service in the hearts of the students, this installation ceremony will be remembered as a memorable occasion that kindled the light of leadership, humane values, and social commitment.
