Kavigosti by Kavita Trust Mangalore

Kavita Trust Mangalore arranged a Kavi Goshti at Pandeshwar Sasthana on 21st February at 4 pm. Kavita Trust's President Mr Melvyn Rodrigues, Secretary Kishore Gonsalves (Kishoo Barkur), Treasurer Avryl Rodrigues and other trustees of the organisation Mr Andrew D'Cunha, Mr William Pais and Mr Victor Mathias were present during the ocassion.

Melvyn Rodrigues the president of the organisation welcomed everyone and briefed the gathering about the background and purpose of Kavita Trust. He also recited few of his poems. Renowned poet from Barkur Mr Antony Prakash D’souza conducted the session and also recited his poems.

 

Popular poets of Konkani language Kishoo Barkur, Andrew D’Cunha, Robert Fernandes Udyavar, Naveen Pirera Surathkal, Claudy Brahmavar and Steven Lewis Brahmavar recited their own as well the poems of other renowned poets.

 

The event was hosted by Mr Alwyn Andrade and Mrs Sujatha Andrade in their residence 'Aashiyana'. Andrew D’Cunha proposed the vote of thanks.
