'Koti Chennayya Agnipath Training Centre' is getting ready at Barkur in Udupi district.
The most ambitious plan of Prime Minister 'Agnipath soldiers' training centre is getting ready to set up at Hanehalli Higher Primary school.
The school has the history of ninety seven years but unfortunately the students are less in numbers now, so the management committee of the school has decided to provide this school to the Govt to the above said plan and the classrooms and students are shifted to another school premises of same management.
Agnipath Veer training will be given to the aspirants who belonged to the SC/ST and backward classes. The training will be free for four months.
Three groups will be trained in a year and hundred aspirants in each group. Native retired soldiers Mr. Ravi Shetty, Thekkatte and Mr. Krishnappa Parkala will be the trainers.
District Officer of District Backward Classes Welfare Department Mr. Sachin inspected the school on Friday and informed that, the training will begin in the first week of October.
