1st August 2023, Barkur : The Karnataka State Legal Service Authority in collaboration with District Level Service Authority leaders and the Bar Association of the district court organized a law awareness program at SVVNEM School. The program aimed to promote legal awareness among students and empower them with knowledge about their rights and responsibilities within the legal framework.
The law awareness program was conducted by the Science club students of SVVN School. It was a momentous occasion as Mrs. Sharmila, the senior civil judge, and member secretary of the district legal service authority graced the event and delivered an enlightening talk on legal awareness. She emphasized the importance of understanding the law and how it plays a pivotal role in shaping a just society.
Mr. Birthi Mitesh Shetty, another distinguished speaker at the event, shed light on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. He stressed the significance of boys and girls actively participating in legal matters, both within their school and the broader society. His inspiring speech encouraged the students to consider pursuing careers in law and contribute positively to their communities.
The law awareness program was deemed highly resourceful and educational for the students. The presence of Mrs. Likitha Kothari, the Headmistress of SVVNEM School, as the presiding officer further added to the event's significance.
The program was efficiently hosted by Vaishnavi, a talented student from the 9th standard, who served as the anchor. Shreeka from the 10th standard extended a warm welcome to all attendees, setting a friendly and inviting atmosphere. Aakanksha, also from the 10th standard, skillfully introduced the esteemed guests, making the audience feel appreciated and valued.
Shree Laxmi, a student from the 8th standard, eloquently proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all those who made the event possible and emphasizing the program's impact on the students' legal awareness.
The law awareness program at SVVNEM School turned out to be a remarkable success, leaving a lasting impression on the students and inspiring them to be informed and responsible citizens of the society.
