A living legend of Barkur in Mumbai, Mr. Richard Carvalho to celebrate his 80th Birthday on 25th October, 2020.
While thanking Almighty Lord for His bountiful blessings for a long and fairly healthy life of 80 great years, Mr Richard Carvalho, a Mechanical Champion in Mumbai, all set to celebrate his Birthday with his family and friends, well-wishers and business partners, at a special function to be held in ‘The Lalit Mumbai’, Trendz Banquet, Sahar Airport Road, Marol, Andheri East, Mumbai, on Sunday, 25th October, at 7.00 pm.
Born as the 2nd son of Boniface Carvalho and Severine Furtado in Mulky on 25th October, 1940 and brought up in Barkur, had his early education in Maryknoll School Hosala, and National High school, Barkur. He reached Mumbai at the tender age of just 15 and continued his education in night Schools and simultaneously joined as a mechanical apprentice in Bachoo’s Garage in Agripada and trained and gained knowledge and experience to start his own Richard Garage, at Sewree, in the year, 1968, at the young age of 27. Since then no looking back and today they own state of the art modern, well equipped workshop in Marol, Military Road, Andheri East. Hundreds of young mechanics were trained and learned under him for the last 53 long years.
The success story of Richard Carvalho with his humble beginning, rightly an inspiration and motivation to youngsters.
