The Marian Sodality of St Peter Church in Barkur marked its Patron Day on the feast of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception with inspiring celebrations that drew the faithful together in prayer and fellowship.
The day's centerpiece was a solemn Mass during which three new aspirants formally joined the Sodality. Rev Fr Ronald Miranda, Parish Priest of St Peter Church, presided over the oath-taking ceremony, welcoming the new members into the Marian devotional group.

Following the liturgical celebration, members and guests gathered at the Church Mini Hall for a programme that, while simple in execution, proved rich in meaning and community spirit. The event was attended by Fr Miranda, Sr Jasmita Crasta, and faculty members of the Catechism Commission.
A highlight of the gathering came when Ms Loyona Suares delivered a moving testimony about the profound impact the Sodality has had on her spiritual journey. The organization also took the opportunity to recognize Ms Nichelle DSouza, honoring her dedicated service to the group.

Ms Leona Furtado served as emcee, guiding the programme through its various segments and maintaining an atmosphere of joy and reverence throughout the celebration.
The Marian Sodality continues to serve as a vital spiritual community within the parish, fostering devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary among its members.
