BARKUR, Oct 29, 2024 - In a modest ceremony held today, Dr. Bhaskar Shetty S assumed office as the new Principal of Smt. Rukmini Shedthi Government First Grade College (RSNFG), Barkur. The appointment comes at a significant time as the institution approaches its Silver Jubilee celebrations.
Dr. Shetty brings with him a wealth of experience in academic leadership, having served as Principal at several prestigious government institutions. Most recently, he held the position of Principal at Dr. G Shankar First Grade College, Ajjarkad, Udupi, where he spearheaded various developmental initiatives over a seven-year tenure.
His illustrious career includes a 12-year stint as Principal across three government colleges in Shankar Narayana. Notably, he also served as the Founder Principal of Kalavara Varadaraja M Shetty Government First Grade College in Koteshwar, where he established strong foundations for academic excellence and institutional growth.
"Dr. Shetty's appointment is particularly timely as RSNFG College prepares to mark its 25th anniversary in 2024," remarked a college official. The institution, established in 1998-99, has been serving the educational needs of the rural Barkur region.
Throughout his career, Dr. Shetty has demonstrated exceptional skills in various aspects of educational administration, including faculty management, student development, and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies such as NAAC. His reputation for community engagement and commitment to institutional vision has preceded him at every posting.
