An orientation program for first-year students was held at the National Industrial Training Institute, which is managed by the Barkur Educational Society. The program was presided over by the Chairman of the management board, Mr. B. Shantharam Shetty, who emphasized the importance of ITI training. He also praised the institute's efforts in ensuring that students are well-prepared to secure employment opportunities at the state, national, and international levels upon course completion.
The workshop included a presentation by the institute's principal, Mr. Venkatesh Kramadhari, who provided detailed information about the training programs offered. The event was graced by the presence of several distinguished guests, including Mr. B. Seetharam Shetty, Vice President of Barkur Educational Society and a retired principal; Mr. H. Vittal Shetty of Shedikodlu; Mr. A. Krishna Hebbar, the treasurer; Mr. Archibald Futardo, the administrator; and Mr. B. Ramachandra Kamath, a coordinator. Also in attendance was Mr. Rajaram Shetty, coordinator of our sister institution, Vidyesh Vidyamanya English Medium School.
The program commenced with a prayer led by office staff member Mr. Harish Hebbar, followed by a welcome speech from senior lecturer Mr. Bhaskar Upadhya. Lecturer Mr. Nagraj Devadiga delivered the vote of thanks, and the event was compered by Mr. Manjunath Naik K.M., another lecturer.
