Kuwait Sep 18: Perampally Welfare Association – Kuwait celebrated“Monthi Fest” at Indian Public School Auditorium, Salmiya on Friday, September 18, under the leadership of President ArunDsouza.

More than 200 devotees had gathered to celebrate the “Monthi Fest”. Prayer to worship Mother Mary was led by Rev. Fr. Romeo Lewis visiting Parish Priest of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Perampally. Group of children offered flowers, Youngsters and Adults offered various kinds of vegetables, while all who were gathered sang hymns ‘SakkadSangathaMellyan’ and ‘MoriyekHogolsian’ in honour of Mother Mary

 

The program was compered by the duo, Edna Dsouza and Sandra Dsilva who took charge of the entire proceedings with grace.

 

The cultural programme was inaugurated by Fr. Romeo Lewis by lighting lamp. A warm welcome was addressed to the gathering by ArunDsouza. The cultural program proceeded with great enthusiasm and entertainment shown by various performers. The entertainment began with Fashion show performed by tiny tots – Ashtal, Joyston, Seana, Alston, Nishmita, Nelisha, Ranon and Royden, dance performances by Larissa, Ronalda, Realene, Sanya, Angel, Shanelle,and famous Ballerine’s team head by Janet. Duet Song by Sandra, Johnson and Solo singing by Nelson, Live band show by Fredrick, Ronald, Sean, Sanya, Shanelle and Realene and Konkani comedy skit presented by famous Konkani artists, SatishSaldhana, Lionel Ajekar and Lucy Aranha.

 

Various quiz and spot prizes were conducted by ArunDsouza who also thanked the people for their contribution and continuous support towards the cause and felicitated and presented momentous to Parish Priest and all contributors.Kombo(Live cock) draw was a special attraction of the event. Many parishioners sponsored for this event by means of fruits, flowers, rice, sugarcane etc. auctioned for raising funds for the new church building. Raffle ticket draw was held and prizes were distributed by Fr. Romeo Lewis.

 

Traditional food (NovemJevaan) was served during the occasion by M & M confectionery. Delicious fish preparation was also served which was prepared by PWA- Kuwait members. The programme concluded with grand baila by DJ Pele.The whole event was captured by photographer Nelson Ronald D’souza.
