Dhvanita Poojary from Barkur Nagar Math secured a silver medal in the 69kg category at the 48th Tulu Nadu Kesari wrestling championship. The district-level competition was held at Nehru Maidan, Mangalore on December 28, 2024.
The tournament, organized by the South Kanara Amateur Wrestling Association (Registered), Mangalore, featured various weight categories and prestigious titles including Tulu Nadu Kesari, Tulu Nadu Kumar, Master, Shivaji, and Tulu Nadu Kumari.
Dhvanita, a first-year Pre-University student at SMS College in Brahmavar, is the daughter of Ganesh Poojary and Shilpa Ganesh Poojary of Barkur Nagar Math. Her achievement in securing second place demonstrates her versatile talents as she balances academics with sports.
