Nammuru Barkuru is a Facebook group which came into limelight recently by its initiative to provide 600 Essential supplies kits to the needy middle class families in and around Barkur in the difficult times of nationwide lock down. The newly appointed Admin of the group Udaya Poojari is a innovative person by nature, was looking for a Grass cutting machine. But due to the lock down the machines were not available and there was no delivery options to buy online. So he searched Youtube videos and succeeded in designing and assembling a working model of home made Grass cutting machine.
Last year he searched the Youtube for Hydrophonic Agricultural system and succeeded in growing the green grass for feeding the cattle by assembling Hydrophonic Kit assembled from the parts bought online. This year his brother grew Corn in their 50 cents land was looking for the grass cutting machine and it was expensive as well as not available anywhere due to lock down. To help his brother Uday Poojari plunged into action and though his one attempt resulted in failure, eventullay succeeded in designing and assembling the Grass cutting machine using a used motor and with the fabrication support from Sunil and Prashanth from Koti Chennayya Engineering Works at cost of just Rs.7000.
