Udupi: Bollywood fame Harry Fernandes from Barkur directs Konkani movie Noshibacho Khell

The muhurat for the upcoming Konkani film 'Noshibacho Khell' directed by Bollywood - Bhojpuri - Marathi fame Harry Fernandes, written and produced by Henry D'Silva Suratkal, under the banner of Kanarites Youth Association, Mumbai Films Pvt Ltd (KYAM) was held near Moodhadu Kudru, Barkur here on Saturday November 7.

The muhurat was held at Richard D'Souza house in Moodhadu Kudru.

Fr Valerian Mendonca, chancellor of diocese of Udupi and parish priest of St Peter’s Church, Barkur blessed the crew members of the film and wished them all success in their venture.

Multi-talented actress and singer Ester Noronha will play the female lead while choreographer Elton Mascarenhas of 'Nach Baliye' fame will be the lead male actor in the film. Prince Jacob - Goa, Ranjitha Lewis, Alwyn Andrade, Sujatha Andrade, Stany Alvares and others will play supporting roles.

Director Harry Fernandes, producer Hendry D'Silva, Elton Mascarenhas, Ranjitha Lewis, Alwyn Andrade, Sujatha Lewis, Stany Alvares, Arun Raj Rodrigues, and others were present.

Henry D'Silva in his keynote address said, "We had produced a video film way back in 1987 in association with KYAM, and now after 40 years of the association's establishment, we are producing our first full-fledged Konkani movie.

"We will shoot the film in Barkur, Udupi, Mangaluru and in Mumbai. We have planned to wind up the shooting in 30 days," he added.

The film is directed by Harry Fernandes, who is also from Barkur. He has directed seven Bhojpuri, five Marathi and two Hindi films.
