HEMMADI – In what can only be described as an extraordinary display of natural athletic prowess, 15-year-old Ajay from SVVN Herady has once again captured the spotlight, this time claiming gold in javelin throw at the Udupi District Sports Meet held at Janatha Group of Institutions, Hemmadi.
The young athlete shattered the existing Udupi District record in his category with an impressive throw of 46.13 metres – a feat made all the more remarkable by the fact that he was introduced to the sport just two weeks ago.

Ajay's javelin triumph comes on the heels of his stellar performance as captain of the Udupi District cricket team, which he led to victory in the Mysore Division U-17 school boys cricket tournament earlier this year. His leadership and individual brilliance in that competition earned him the Man of the Match trophy in the final and secured his team's qualification for the Karnataka State Level Tournament in Kolar, scheduled for November 2025.
