BARKUR - As part of the second annual public Ganeshotsava religious program, a special devotional music event was held this morning at 11 AM, organized jointly by Shri Rajdhani Raja Youth Club (Regd.) Barkur and Sarvajanik Shri Ganeshotsava Samiti Barkur.
The devotional program, titled "Bhakti Sudha," was presented by Team Ganamruta Barkur, featuring performances of popular devotional songs including the renowned "Hey Vinayakane Batte Vinayakane."
Stellar Lineup of Artists
The program showcased talented local artists including renowned scholar Shri Shrisha G. Bhat, along with Janardan Kumbashi, Shamala Barkur, Purnima Barkur, Revati Barkur, and Manjunath Pujari Barkur.
The event was expertly anchored by Shrisha Acharya Pandeshwar, a well-known presenter from the coastal region, who provided engaging commentary throughout the program.
Recognition for Local Talent
During the ceremony, special recognition was given to Prashant Devadiga from Barkur, the lyricist who composed the devotional song "Hey Vinayakane Batte Vinayakane." He was felicitated and honored by both Rajdhani Raja Youth Club (Regd.) Barkur and Sarvajanik Shri Ganeshotsava Samiti Barkur for his contribution to devotional music.
