In a vibrant display of religious tradition, the Sri Panchalingeshwara Temple in Kotekkeri, Barkur, commenced its annual Rathothsava (Chariot Festival) this morning with great reverence and community participation.
At precisely 8:00 AM, on 27/03/2025, the temple's administrative board and devotees ceremoniously brought out the temple Ratha (chariot) from its storage area. The event was marked by significant local community involvement and support.

- Benne Kuduru Barkuru volunteers
- Numerous devoted community members
The temple management and festival organizing committees expressed heartfelt gratitude to all those who contributed to the successful launch of the chariot ceremony.
The festival scheduled from 30th March 2025 promises to be a significant cultural and spiritual event for the local community, showcasing the rich traditions of the region.
The highlight of the festival, the grand Brahma Rathothsava (Barkur Habba), will be conducted on 5th April 2025 under the guidance of the temple's Paryaya Tantriya, Vedamoorthi Sri Krishna Somayaji. The festivities will include various religious rituals performed according to traditional customs.
