Temple management honors distinguished businessman and philanthropist.
Dr. K. Prakash Shetty, founder of the M.R.J Group and a celebrated industrialist known for his compassionate heart and dedication to helping the underprivileged, visited the revered Panchalingeshwara Temple at Kotekeri today. The temple, considered the deity of the Tulunad region, welcomed the distinguished guest with traditional honors.
Dr. Shetty received darshan (blessed viewing) of the deity and was warmly welcomed by the temple's administrative board, who felicitated him with great respect and appreciation for his contributions to society.
The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries including Suggi Sudhakar Shetty, Chairman of the Sri Panchalingeshwara Temple Renovation Committee; Kiran Kumar Kodgi, MLA of Kundapur constituency; Sri B. Shantaram Shetty, Chairman of the Temple Management Board and President of Barkur Grama Panchayath, and Sri Manjunathrao, Administrative Moktheshwara of the temple. Also present were members of the temple management board, festival committee members, Rajdhani Raja Youth Club members, temple priests, and numerous devotees.
Following his temple visit, Dr. K. Prakash Shetty is scheduled to participate in the religious assembly program of the second annual Ganesha festival, organized in collaboration with the Rajdhani Raja Sarvajanika Ganeshothsava Committee, Barkur.
The visit highlights the continued patronage of prominent business leaders to the region's cultural and religious institutions, reinforcing the strong bonds between industry and tradition in coastal Karnataka.
