A District-Level Karate Competition, organised by the Department of Education, was recently held at Creative School, Karkala, bringing together young martial arts talent from schools across the district.
Among the standout performers was Thanisha Kulal, a Class 7 student of SVVN English Medium School, Herady, and daughter of Mr. Ashok Kulal and Mrs. Vilasha. Competing in the under-50 kg category, Thanisha displayed remarkable skill, discipline, and composure to defeat her competitors and clinch the first-place title.

Notably, Thanisha's karate journey has been guided closely by her father, Mr. Ashok Kulal, who serves as the Karate coach at the school. His mentorship and training have played a pivotal role in shaping her technique and competitive spirit, making this victory a shared triumph for both father and daughter.
Thanisha's achievement stands as an inspiring example for young athletes in the region, reflecting the value of dedication, discipline, and consistent practice in the martial arts.
